Blackwood Engineering
Summary
This project comprised a 2,200m2 extension and link building that was successfully delivered by Knox & Wells at Blackwood Engineering’s Blaina site. The portal frame construction provides additional space to expand Blackwood Engineering’s casting and counterweight projects, provide additional storage as well as new staff welfare facilities.
The extension was built with sustainability in mind – featuring a 66kW solar array, designed and installed by Knox & Wells’ in-house M&E team, as well as EV charging points.
Challenging project for all involved – carrying out a construction project in the middle of an operational site. Plenty of challenges along the way… but between us we delivered a quality end product on time, on budget and with zero accidents
