Lee Mayes, (one of our site managers), has recently completed a CFR course (Community First Response). Lee wanted to complete the course following a road traffic accident he witnessed a few years ago, in which a pedestrian was knocked over and sadly died as a result. He felt that if he had the required further knowledge of first aid and CPR, he could have perhaps prevented the fatality. Unfortunately it seemed the injuries were too severe regardless, but it prompted Lee to do more for the community and hence complete the CFR course. He has also been heavily involved in getting community defibrillators in the Tonyrefail and Gilfach Goch areas.
